Explore the widely-scattered possibilities from the simple wooden-tube and it's qualities as a mouth percussion - Instrument. With a lot of humour and a wide range of exercises, sounds and rhythms we will develop the first clear and powerful basic drone to varied sounds, the unspectacular circular breathing to sly rhythms and very percussive styles. For the experienced players, performing on stage or also teaching, I have a lot of tips and continually fresh grooves. As a trained body-psycho therapist I want to share my knowledge with you about the way that I and many of my students attained a more powerful, precise, faster, more varied and at the same time considerably more relaxed way of playing. He discovered the didgeridoo (as a bass player) in 1992, and developed his own connection to the didge with the bands Circular Breathing, Peshkar and currently with Boobinga and Didges Brew. Apart from rhythmic singing, as used in jazz or in various cultures in the world, he uses vocal percussion techniques like "human beat-box". He's presently on tour through Europe with his own bands and Gnawa Impulse, a breathtaking club project with Moroccan trance musicians. The trained body-psycho- therapist has been passing on his knowledge as a teacher since 1994. In 1999, he initiated the world music network Cross Culture Music (http://www.cross-culture-music.de). He published several articles and a tutorial book ("urban didgeridoo") about didgeridoo playing.
