Gnawa Impulse

On 12th of October, Gnawa Impulse, Cross Culture Music and Radio Multikulti presented a long awaited event: The CD release party of the Gnawa Impulse - ritual breakbeats - virtual trance fusionproject and the band´s live debut at the Kesselhaus of the Kulturbrauerei. We were as well able to welcome invited guests in a separate Lounge, serving drinks and moroccan food in a chilled out oriental setting.

For the opening of the market of Asian Pacific Cultures on 14th of september 2001 CCM, with the aid of Singha Beer, were celebrating a big Party at the BKA Luftschloss, Schlossplatz in Berlin Mitte. For this occasion DJ Osmani Soundz (from Talvin Singh´s Anokha, London) was invited to line up with Berlin asian breakbeat pioneer DJ Shazam!. In this very night a wide musical range from asian pacific cultural regions to Europe was covered. The wave reached all senses: from London´s Club interpretations of indian roots to delicious pacific food, Didgeridoo Breakbeats and southindian Bharatanatyam Dance.
Cross Culture Music was responsible for the line up of the program for the finishing Party of the Asian Pacific Weeks at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.

In 2001 CCM could support the sequence of events of the 4th Perleberg Festival of Folk, Song and Worldmusic, supplying a total of five different bands for the stages.

Cross Culture Session

Since september 2001, CCM together with David Roman Drums organizes the by now almost legendary Cross Culture Session at the Ambulatorium of RAW Tempel in Revalerstr.99 Berlin. This bi-weekly musical gathering is thought to regulary offer international and local musicians a presentation stage, an opportunity for exchange and common growth in the global language that is music. Welcome to the Sessions are musicians of all stylistics, all countries and all levels. |  |

Fete de la Musique Berlin 2001

For the Fete de la Musique 2001, CCM organized two complete stages. The first on Oranienplatz together with Kuchenkaiser and Radio Multikulti as media partner and the other in Kinderzirkus Cabuwazi. Alltogether 11 Bands and 5 DJs were involved. |  |

Helping Hands

On the 9th of may, CCM "Helping Hands" organized a benefiz party with concerts and DJs for the victims of the earthquake in India together with DJ Shazam! and Deli Berlin. We could hand over the sum of 10.000 DM to the "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz".
