Roland Menthel: soprano, alto sax |  |
| The „sectret heart“ of the band: Roland Menthel studied Music in Vienna and Berlin with Gebhard Ullmann, Thomas Klemm, Rolf von Nordenskjöld. He studied Indian classical Music with Ramamani at the Karnataka College of Percussion in Bangalore. His first CD was recorded in 1996 with the SFB Berlin and the producer Sigi Schmidt-Joos. Many concerts with the band Mandala Trio and all over Germany and with different Jazz bands. |  |

Matthias Manzke: tenor sax |  |
| Born in Hamburg. He studied Jazz at the HdK Berlin and the New School New York. Lessons with David Friedman, Peter Weniger, Richie Beirach, Dick Oatts and Jane Ira Bloom. Lessons in classical Music with Johannes Ernst. Tour through Rumania; in 1997 Jazzfestival in Hradec Kralove / Tchech Republic. Concerts in Berlin with Sigi Busch Quartett, La Forge Jazz Quartett And the Big Band JayJayBeCe. He was working for theatre productions (Theaterdock 1996) and for the singer Robert Metcalf (Dt. Grammophone). At the time he is engaged with the Matthias Manzke Duo and at the Berliner Planetarium. |  |

| 1994 and '96 first prize at the 'Jugend Musiziert'; since 1995 Band-leader and member from diverse Jazz and Gospel projects; since 1997 he was the member from the 'Landesjugend - Jazzorchesters Schleswig-Holstein'; since 1999 he studied at the HdK in Berlin took lessons from Peter Weniger, Stefan Kuchel, Fiete Felsch; and since 2000 he has been leading the Jazz-Quartett 'Dieterich'. |  |

| Born in 1978 plays clarinet and saxophone. Very early he dedicated himself to the Baritonesaxophone as his main instrument. Lessons with different teachers of the west German jazz scene. Since 1999 he studies at the HdK Berlin with people like Gregoire Peters Jerry Granelli, David Friedman, Sigi Busch. |  |
